Michelle submitted the short story, Me Without You, part of a collection of interconnected stories about three 4th graders in a secluded ward of San Bernardino, an area of hard knocks and tough luck. More on Michelle in an upcoming post so stay close!

And thank you to everyone who submitted to this year’s fellowship. We had over 70 submissions from screenwriters, TV writers, novelists, poets and more. It was not an easy decision for our judges as there were so many compelling stories. As a writer myself, I know the courage and commitment it takes to show up everyday, to throw your heart on the page and out into the world for all to judge. Thank you for sharing your work with us. It was a privilege to read.
