We have read through all of the submissions and have chosen OMAR SINGER  as this year’s fellowship recipient. Omar is a screenwriter, fiction writer and music critic. He submitted a fascinating short story excerpt. He has a wonderfully clever and irreverent voice as a writer. We look forward to seeing more and more from him.

To everyone who submitted, this was not an easy decision. There were so many folks who deserved this. Beautifully-written screenplays, short stories, memoirs and more. We’ll very likely be offering this again (in early 2014) so stay close, keep writing and reach out to us if you’re in the neighborhood. We do all we can to accommodate everyone.
