I don’t think I’ve posted up about writing a musical before, so here’s something new for you. If you’re a fan, great, but if not next week I’ll likely be posting about “Mission Impossible“… because every single one of those films is amazing.
“Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again” was a wonderful musical with an excellent cast. I definitely recommend going to see it if you’ve seen the first film. The writer, Ol Parker, is otherwise known for having written “Now Is Good,” “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel,” and “Imagine Me and You.” This was his first musical as well.
A few questions from the interview:
“When did you and Universal decide to make a flashback an essential element of how the story would be told in this sequel?”
“Had you dealt with any musical directing prior to getting the job?”
“What was your favorite musical sequence? Most challenging?”
