Guillermo Del Toro recently was nominated at the 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards for Best Written Screenplay. The nominated film was “The Shape of Water.” He’s also well known for “Pan’s Labyrinth,” “Hellboy,” and “Pacific Rim.” If you ask me, he’s one of the most talented storytellers I know of.
A few questions from the interview:
“You’ve made a lot of films over the years but this is one of your favorites, isn’t it?”
“And can you tell us about the scriptwriting process? You co-wrote with Vanessa Taylor. How long was the process of coming up with the story and the idea?”
“The screenwriting process sounds like it takes such a long time and such a big investment out of your life. Do you enjoy that more than directing or is it just a completely different piece?”
