Every Monday night, theOffice closes its doors so that the writers and actors of Safehouse can take over. Safehouse consists of about 20 working Hollywood writers, including founding members Jim Uhls and Blake Herron. They workshop new material with actors in front of the group. It’s been a “safe house” for screenwriters and playwrights for over 10 years.
Once a year they put on a show for the public. It’s a night of 8 original one-act plays that are always funny and fresh. This year is no different. The show is called 8 At The Zoo and it’s a guaranteed good night out at the theatre. It’s at the Electric Lodge just off Abbot Kinney in Venice. Lots of great restaurants and food trucks around.
Tickets can be purchased here and THEY WILL SELL OUT so get ’em fast. And as one of our lovely and amazing blog readers you’re entitled to a little discount worth $5 off the price of admission. Just enter discount code: PAQZzipj at checkout.
The shows are this coming Friday through Sunday. All proceeds go towards keeping theOffice strong and healthy so that we can continue to be the little shared hub of inpsiration our writers depend on throughout the year. If you go, let us know what you thought!
