After reading through every submission, we have chosen Mia Resella as the recipient of a six month fellowship here at theOffice. Mia is a screenwriter, an artist, and a host of the popular Youtube series “2 Broke Geeks“. Her ten page submission was funny and original, with a fabulously unique voice behind it all. Each judge came back with a handful of favorites, but Mia’s script was the one that showed up in all of their top selections. We are excited to see where Mia’s talents take her, and we hope that her time at the Office allows her the focus and peace of mind that it takes to accomplish great things!

We had a record number of submissions, and were blown away by the caliber of writers that submitted their work. Getting through all the submissions could have been a daunting task, but we were so entertained by all the fantastic writing, that it was an incredibly fun process. So many submissions were deserving of this fellowship, and we hope that none of our fantastic applicants feel the slightest bit discouraged.

Thank you for allowing us to read your work! We’ll very likely be offering this again (in early 2015) so stay close, keep writing and reach out to us if you’re in the neighborhood. We do all we can to accommodate everyone.
