We are looking for a writer who is savvy with PR/marketing to help grow our business in exchange for a free place to write. theOffice is a well-established, quiet, communal workspace on 26^th Street in Santa Monica. You can see our space at www.theofficeonline.com. We have many A-list Hollywood screenwriters, novelists, attorneys, web developers, students and more as members. We are looking to continue to grow our membership through traditional and new, outside-of-the-box marketing.

If you’re looking for a place to write without the distractions of home and you’re tired of the coffee shop hustle, this might be a good fit for you. In exchange for your free membership, your duties would include:

• meeting with the manager bi-weekly to brainstorm new ways of reaching potential customers as well as evaluate your current performance
• work with the manager to consistently update/grow all of our online social media
• flier local coffee shops and/or reach out to the neighborhood in other ways
• form partnerships with the LA writing community through local writing groups, film fests, colleges, writing blogs, etc.

This would likely require around 5-10 hours of your time per week. We are looking for someone who is savvy with social media and can think outside of the box in terms of marketing. You would have 24/7 access to theOffice (a Premium Membership) with your own door code to get in day or night. If you’ve been here before, you know how productive this environment is for a writer. Current Premium Members pay upwards of $400 a month.
