Great American Script Contest

Disney Entertainment Television Writing Program

Recipients Get: One year of paid employment with DET, professional development curriculum, workshops, networking events, and more.

Final Draft Big Break Competition
Accepts: Features, Original Pilots, and Shorts.
Grand Prize Includes: $10,000 cash, an Apple iPad, a Dell Laptop, a trip to Hollywood including airfare and hotel accommodations, and meetings with managers, producers, and executives.

Creative Screenwriting Shoot Your Short Screenplay Competition

LGBT Toronto Screenplay Festival
Accepts: Features, Original Pilots, Spec TV, Web Series, Stage Plays, Short Stories, and Book Manuscripts that are LGBT oriented.
Prizes Includes: Each month, the festival performs 1-3 scripts by professional actors and each writer is given a video of said script reading.
